Menu Choices

Here’s one of my efforts that uses the play-on-words technique as well as taking a little poetic license to accommodate the rhyming pattern.

I can’t see any reason why

To dine on squid or octopi

I say better safe than sorry

And just stick calamari

My amazement never fails

When people make a meal of snails

To me a better way to go

Are tasty little escargot

Some folks are very indiscrete

When it comes to what they eat

Menu choices made in haste

Show such a dreadful lack of taste
