Ode to a Clove
This image is Magpie Tales prompt#56. Here’s my tribute to the miracle bulb.
Allium Sativum clove of my dreams
Broil it, sauté it and blend it in creams
Crush it and press it and cook in a stew
Slice it and dice it and stir in a roux
It’s good for what ails you both night and day
Warding off a colds, keeping vampires away
I can’t get enough, I pile up my plate
Only one problem …I can’t get a date

LOL. The man of your dreams will have garlic breath, too.
I LOVE the rhythm and rhyme here… funny ending, too.

I certainly love what you’ve done with Allium Sativum, nice coincidence!
Yes it is!
Hahaha – clever and fun magpie!
Very impressive. I find it so difficult to rhyme and you did it effortlessly. Charming and evocative!
Haha! Well done. I like the punch line…
Enjoyed it!
I really like how we get so many ideas out of one photo. Everyone interpreting it differently.
viscous time
LOL. Very cute! Obviously you just haven’t met the right person yet. My boyfriend and I will eat clove after roasted clove whole sometimes. JUST because garlic is soooooooo good! 🙂
Heehee! Cute ending!
i agree it is a miracle bulb … lighthearted spirited romp through rhyme and laughter… you need to find someone who likes garlic as much as you… just a thought…
fun tale.
