A Brief History of Science

This is in response to Big Tent Poetry’s prompt “Science

An apple fell on Newton’s dome

And sent Sir Isaac crawling home

Where inside his cranial cavity

He conceived the Law of Gravity

Said Marie to husband Louie

“You may think this theory screwy

Don’t drink that milk before your eyes

At least until you pasteurize”

Scientists annoy me

They think they’re so profound

They insist that πR²

But I know pie are round.
