When Late Means Never

This is my entry for this Mad Kane’s limerick off for the week of March 21.  The prompt is the first line.

A fellow was terribly late

Which didn’t sit well with his date

“My promise of heaven

Was valid at seven

But promptly expired at eight”

Fun limerick! That reminds of a very early date with my husband of over thirty-two years: He was very late and I left. He was never late again. 🙂

Congratulations on your Honorable Mention in last week’s Limerick of the Week contest!

Hahahah. I’m looking forward to reading more of your funny poems 😀
(I’m guilty of being late a lot as my friends will attest – but I guess us ladies can get away with being late 😛 )
