Dinner at the Huns

This is posted in response to Magpie Tales prompt # 58…which is the image above.

Said Mom-the-Hun to son, Attila

“Don’t behave like some gorilla

Ere you invade the dining hall

Please hang your swords upon the wall

Then stow your shield and wipe your feet

And wash your hands before you eat

Mind your manners, if you’re able

Remember: elbows off the table

Don’t go reaching like a glutton

Rather, please say ‘Pass the mutton’

If there’re no crumbs and there’s no spillage

After dinner you can pillage”

Love it! We moms are always having to remind the kids to behave! This one evoked a silly one from me too!http://lolamousedroppings.blogspot.com/2011/03/jabberwocky-ii-this-will-slay-you.html
